How to calculate the effective total
Add the required membership to the medication at the same billing cadence. If the medication is $75 and the program fee is $74.99, the effective monthly starting total is $149.99. If the membership is annual prepaid, also record the upfront amount.
First-month membership offers
A discounted first month can make the entry total look dramatically lower. Always show the renewal rate beside it. For a twelve-month budget, count one promotional month and eleven ongoing months unless the published terms say otherwise.
When a bundled price is easier
A bundled plan can be simpler because medication, provider review, supplies, and shipping appear in one number. Still verify dose changes, optional services, state availability, and cancellation rules. “All included” does not automatically mean every future dose has the same price.
